Emily Perry had three hits and scored three times as Bentonville opened its season with a win over Cedar Creek in Ruston.

Kenzie Derryberry and Tallulah Pascucci each had two hits for the Lady Tigers (1-0), who scored three runs in the third inning and erased an early 2-1 deficit. Trista Peterson led Bentonville with three RBIs, followed by Kasey Wood with 2.

McKenzie Vaughan went the distance in the circle and finished with a five-hitter with one walk and 12 strikeouts.

Bentonville is scheduled to return to action tonight at Bossier City (La.) Airline.
