Colton Simmons hit a 3-pointer with 7 minutes, 26 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 38. But the Purple'Dogs (12-6, 3-1) followed with a 20-2 run to take command.

Releford, a 6-6 junior, keyed the surge with 14 fourth-quarter points. No other Fayetteville player scored in double figures.

Simmons led Bentonville (10-5, 1-2) with 14, while Brayden Freeman added 12.
