Bentonville Tiger Softball gets 15 strikeouts from Cailey Cochran in 15-1 win over Northside.

Cailey Cochran hopes every outing will go as well as Thursday, as Cochran struck out 15 batters to carry Bentonville to a 15-1 victory over Northside. Cochran was dominant throughout as she struck out the side in each of the first two innings.

Six runs in the opening three innings allowed Bentonville to pull away from Northside . An RBI single by Tymber Riley, an RBI single by Megan Crownover, an RBI single by Payton Wildeman, an RBI double by Emily Roberson, an error during the first inning, and an RBI single by Crownover in the second inning fueled Bentonville Tiger Softball's offense early.

Crownover racked up two RBIs on four hits for Bentonville while Payton and Jenna Wildeman collected 3 hits apiece. Emily Roberson finished 2-3 with 2 RBI and a walk while Haley Cornell hammered a long homerun into the pond for her first of the young season.

Horton took the loss for Northside . She allowed 15 runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out two.

Bentonville Tiger Softball added five more runs in the top of the seventh. The inning looked promising, as Roberson singled, scoring Wildeman to kick things off. That was followed up by Keelah Griffith's single, plating Jazmine Dodd and Jordan Gartman.

Bentonville will be back in action after spring break when they host conference foe Springdale Har-ber on March 29th.
