Bentonville Tiger Softball escapes Vilonia (AR) behind Maddy Prough's 11 strikeouts, 2-0

An ace performance by Maddy Prough led Bentonville Tiger Softball to a 2-0 win in seven innings over Vilonia on Friday at Vilonia, Arkansas.

Prough's 11 strikeouts helped Bentonville Tiger Softball to the victory. Bentonville Tiger Softball's pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.

Anna Griffin helped Bentonville Tiger Softball take the lead for good in the seventh inning with a 2 out 2 RBI single. Megan Crownover singled to get on base in the seventh. She then went from first to third on a double by Payton Wildeman.

Hinsley couldn't get it done in the circle for Vilonia , taking a loss. She lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
